Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter referred to as “Google”).

Google Analytics helps us analyze website usage and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Users may withdraw their consent to the use of Google Analytics at any time for the future under Art. 7(3) GDPR via the “cookie settings” on our website.

Information such as time, location, and frequency of page visits, as well as interactions (e.g., click paths, ads viewed/clicked, clicks on links), including the user's IP address, is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there for up to two months.

Google LLC is part of the "Data Privacy Framework," for which the EU Commission has issued an adequacy decision pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR:

Google also collects “demographic characteristics” and may create statistics that provide insight into age, gender, and interests of visitors. This occurs through automated analysis of advertising and third-party data.

If the user has enabled personalized ads in their Google account and has consented to Google Analytics, Google can analyze usage behavior across devices linked to that account. Google creates models of cross-device conversions; however, we only receive anonymous statistics, not personal data.

To disable this cross-device analysis, users can deactivate the “personalized advertising” function in their Google account settings under the following link:

We use Google Analytics with an anonymization function. This ensures that the user’s IP address is truncated by Google within EU member states or other EEA treaty countries.

Google uses the collected data to evaluate website usage and compile reports on website activity for us. These data are also used to provide other services related to website and internet usage. Google may share this information with third parties where required by law or if third parties process the data on behalf of Google.

According to Google, the IP address transmitted by the user’s browser will not be merged with other Google data. Further information and options to prevent data usage by Google can be found here:

If the user disagrees with data collection, they can prevent it by installing the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics once:

Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts to display external fonts on our website. This service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter “Google”).

To display certain fonts on our website, a connection is established to a Google server in the USA when our website is accessed.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in optimizing and economically operating our website.

Through the connection established when our website is loaded, Google can determine which website your request was sent from and to which IP address the font is to be delivered.
